Building on the success of last year’s 15th Anniversary celebration, Southern Pharmacy hosted another two-day customer celebration and education event in Greensboro, North Carolina on November 7th and 8th. To thank Southern Pharmacy’s customers, facility staff attendees were treated to dinner, lunch, entertainment, an opportunity to speak to healthcare vendors and a chance to dance off some stress. In addition, they were able to earn seven Continuing Education Units through a series of presentations given during the general session, as well as in management and clinically-focused tracks. Speakers included: Dr. Joy Greene, PharmD; Brian Kiser of Chick-Fil-A; communications consultant Steve Beck; Cindy H. Deporter, North Carolina’s State Agency Survey Director; Guardian’s Erin Marriott; and motivational consultant, Tommy Re.
“We’re very proud that so many customer staff members took time out of their schedules to attend. It’s a wonderful opportunity for them hear our gifted and informative speakers, meet the pharmacy staff they work with on the phone, network with colleagues and have an overall good time,” said pharmacy president Marybeth Terry. “What started out last year as an anniversary celebration, has blossomed into an annual event, anticipated by our customers, and we’re happy to plan and host such a worthwhile conference.”
Pharmacy staff has already started planning next year’s meeting, and based on customer feedback, facility staff members are truly looking forward another valuable meeting next year.
