Our Co-President is originally from Pink Hill, North Carolina. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated in 1999 with a Doctorate of Pharmacy. Marybeth met her husband Chad at Chapel Hill and their family enjoys going back and cheering for the Tarheels. She has worked in LTC pharmacy since graduation. Marybeth and Chad started Southern Pharmacy Services in Pink Hill in 2003. Both Chad and Marybeth work together managing the operations of the pharmacy. Marybeth lives in Winston-Salem with Chad and they have two daughters, Laura and Kate and a son, Watson. Marybeth enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, family-time and the beach.
Joel Noped, Pharm.D., is Southern Pharmacy’s Vice President of Pharmacy Operations. Soon after graduating from UNC pharmacy school in 1999, Joel began working in long-term care and came to Southern Pharmacy in 2007. He worked as the Director of Operations for our Kernersville location from its opening until early 2014, when he transitioned to a role directing both short- and long-term project management for all our pharmacies. He now heads up all pharmacy operations for our three locations.
Vice President of Financial Operations, Brian Dufour, PharmD, is originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin. He attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison (Microbiology) and Shenandoah University in Virginia (PharmD). Brian has been part of the Southern Pharmacy family since 2009. Prior to his current position, Brian lead the Kernersville pharmacy as Director of Operations. Brian has a variety of professional pharmacy experiences including hospital, retail, and LTC. His efficiency-focused approach helps to provide consistent and exceptional financial service to the pharmacy.
Our Vice President of Sales and Customer Service, Sarah Lynch, is a graduate of Meredith College. She has grown up in the pharmacy field working in her father’s pharmacy prior to joining Southern Pharmacy in 2004. Sarah’s primary focus at Southern Pharmacy is building relationships with prospective customers while ensuring our current customers receive exceptional service.
Our Director of Information Technology, Taylor Driscoll, is originally from Charlotte, NC, and attended the University of North Carolina Charlotte earning an MBA. Taylor brings over 25 years of experience working within and leading I.T. organizations for medium sized to fortune 100 businesses within North America and the Asia Pacific regions. After living in Asia for 8 years, Taylor worked for private firms leading I.T. organizations and enhancing technology to drive operational growth. Taylor manages all aspects of I.T. for the Pink Hill, Kernersville and Wytheville pharmacies, as well as the Southern Pharmacy customers. His focus is on customer service and driving solutions to improve services and business operations while making information technology a strategic department within Southern Pharmacy.
Our Director of Client Services, Robyn Swinson, RN, is a native of Eastern North Carolina. Robyn worked as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, prior to joining Southern Pharmacy. She began her career with Southern Pharmacy as a Nurse Account Manager in 2006 and was the Lead Nurse Account Manager for our Pink Hill pharmacy prior to her current role. She brings over a decade of varied clinical and customer service experience to our Leadership Team. Robyn works with customers and our external Nursing and Quality Assurance teams to ensure our customers receive superior service and clinical support.
Candace Dufour, PharmD, attended Shenandoah University School of Pharmacy, in Winchester VA. She is originally from the Southwestern part of Virginia. Prior to Southern Pharmacy, she gained experience in Retail, and LTC pharmacy focusing on IV and Anticoagulant dosing. Candace joined the Southern Pharmacy team in 2010 and began her career at Southern working as a staff pharmacist. In January 2023, she accepted the position of Director of Consultant Services. Candace enjoys being a liaison between the pharmacy’s customer, and pharmacy departments, to allow Southern to find ways to provide superior customer service.
