The three branches of Southern Pharmacy Services participated in a number of events and service projects this year to help spread holiday cheer throughout each of their respective communities.
In Wytheville, Virginia, employees once again collected toys for the “Santa Shop” hosted by the Wythe County Department of Social Services. The toys are made available to local parents in need to provide their children with Christmas presents.
In Pink Hill, North Carolina, 19 employees took time out of their schedules to put smiles on the faces of residents at a number of their customer facilities. In what has become an annual event, the talented group presented a program of Christmas carols to grateful facility audiences. The residents enjoyed listening to and singing along with the familiar music.
Providing a real treat for the pharmacy, the employees of Kernersville, North Carolina were entertained at their annual employee holiday party by the “Bells of Inspiration,” a group of extraordinary residents from some of the regional UMAR group homes. The 18 bell-choir musicians, dressed in holiday attire, performed a program of Christmas carols. The group’s hard work was truly appreciated by all. Thank you UMAR.
