Serving our customer facilities year-round is what we do best. At Christmastime, our pharmacy makes a special effort to bring a bit of cheer to the residents we serve. This year, Southern Pharmacy’s Pink Hill North Carolina location partnered with Pink Hill Elementary School to fill Christmas stockings for the residents of Lenoir Assisted Living, a local Southern Pharmacy customer facility.
Southern Pharmacy’s Monica Pickett, whose granddaughter attends Pink Hill Elementary School, spearheaded the pharmacy’s participation in the school’s “Stockings for Seniors” project. Donation boxes were set up in the pharmacy and employees provided personal care items and assorted snacks that were combined with the school’s donations.
School staff, students and pharmacy employees plan to deliver the items to the assisted living facility along with a program of Christmas carols.
Partnering with the school allowed the pharmacy to play a part in a community-wide effort to bring the Christmas spirit to Lenoir Assisted Living residents. Nicely done, Pink Hill!
