Glenn Whitley – Director of Operations, Customer Support and Quality Assurance

Glenn Whitley, PharmD, is the Director of Operations, Customer Support and Quality Assurance, for Southern’s Pink Hill location. Glenn joined Southern in November 2014 via the Extensive Pharmaceutical acquisition. Glenn has worked in the long term care industry focusing on geriatric populations since 2001. He has a degree in Chemistry from East Carolina University and a Doctorate of Pharmacy from Campbell University. Glenn and his team are focused on providing excellent customer service and resident care. TJ Thomas – Director of Finance and Administration

TJ Thomas is Pink Hill’s Director of Finance and Administration. He graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a Finance degree. He comes to Southern Pharmacy with over 25 years of healthcare experience ranging from the hospital industry to the Dental Service Organization industry. He and his wife live in Kinston, NC and have two wonderful children. He and his wife enjoy playing tennis, golf, snow skiing, traveling and always on the lookout for new dining experiences.

Rusty Conway – Sales and Customer Service Representative

Rusty Conway, our Sales and Customer Service Representative, has worked in sales and customer Service for more than 17 years. His focus with Southern Pharmacy is to build and maintain positive relationships with current customers, while marketing our services to generate new business. Sue Sutton – Human Resources Coordinator/Event Planner

Sue Sutton is our HR Coordinator/Event Planner in Pink Hill. She has been with Southern Pharmacy since 2006,  She’s worked in the Call Center, as Supervisor of the Call Center and has been in her HR role since January 2017.  Sue retired from Wachovia Bank with 24 years of service.

Chris Johnson – Pharmacist Lead

Chris Johnson, lead pharmacist/supervisor in Pink Hill received a degree in Zoology from N.C. State University in 2011 and his PharmD from UNC-Chapel Hill Eshelman School of Pharmacy in 2016. He’s a local southern Lenoir county boy and even played on the Watson’s Drug (run by Marybeth (Watson) Terry’s parents) sponsored tee ball team! He worked at SPS in order to gain experience in pharmacy before going to pharmacy school and was excited to have the opportunity to come back to work as a pharmacist upon graduation. As the lead pharmacist in Pink Hill, he focuses on efficiency within each department. He attempts to bring ideas to the pharmacy directors that will streamline the workflow and make for the most efficient use of time and resources. He is married and has two young boys with whom he enjoys spending time outdoors.

Robyn Swinson – Consultant Nurse Lead

Robyn Swinson, RN is the Pink Hill nursing team lead. She has varied nursing experience in hospital nursing and home care. Before joining Southern Pharmacy, she worked as an ER nurse in the local emergency room. Robyn oversees the Southern Pharmacy Nurse Account Managers and QA staff based in Pink Hill and assists with maintaining the eLearning site. The entire clinical team strives to provide quality nursing services to all SPS customers. Robyn lives in Kinston with her husband and two children. Erin Marriott – Consultant Pharmacist Lead

Erin Marriott, RPh, is originally from Akron, Ohio and attended the University of Toledo graduating with my Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy in 1999. She relocated to North Carolina in 2001 and now calls Topsail Beach home. She has over 20 years of experience in LTC pharmacy with over 15 years of clinical consulting experience and has been part of the Southern Pharmacy family since 2004. She has completed the Anticoagulation Certification Program and is currently working on the program for Antibiotic Stewardship Certification. As the Lead Consultant Pharmacist, she oversees our team of consultant pharmacists and is a point of reference for our customers regarding regulatory information as well as clinical medication therapy management.

Mary Tripp – Purchasing Manager

Mary has been with Southern Pharmacy since 2012. She started in fulfillment and then moved to order entry. In early 2015 she accepted the fulfillment supervisor position. In 2017 she moved into the position of purchaser. Her primary focus as purchaser is to maintain inventory for the pharmacy. She works with wholesalers to provide medications and supplies to the pharmacy. She is always available to track down hard to find items and make sure that our customers’ needs are met. She likes to fill her off time with family, making music and enjoying the beach.
