Renae Cregger – Director of Operations
Wytheville’s Director of Operations, Renae Cregger, PharmD, has many years of experience in long term care pharmacy. After earning her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Campbell University, she worked as a staff pharmacist, consultant pharmacist, and pharmacist supervisor. Renae’s primary focus is on making sure that our customers receive exceptional service while ensuring that the daily operations of the pharmacy run at optimal efficiency. Tim Pennington – Director of Finance and Administration
Tim Pennington is the Director of Finance and Administration for Southern Pharmacy Services’ Virginia location. Tim joined Southern in February of 2017 and manages billing, human resources and finance for the pharmacy. He has over 20 years of experience in financial and cost accounting, mergers and acquisitions, cash management, project management, HR and IT primarily for manufacturing companies. He received a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Virginia Tech. Tim and his team work hard to improve the efficiency of the pharmacy and assist customers with billing and insurance questions. Dina has worked in Marketing and Customer Service for more than 20 years. Janine Carico – Customer Service Manager
Janie Carico is the Customer Service Manager for Wytheville. Janie joined the Southern Pharmacy team in August of 2018. Having been a sales and marketing director at long-term care facilities, she brings over 12 years of experience to the team. Janie has the ability to understand the unique needs of each facility and develop solutions to fit those needs. Janie’s goal is to provide superior customer service to Southern Pharmacy’s partner facilities. She is a graduate of Radford University and lives in Galax, VA with her husband and two children. Deanna Vipperman – Fulfillment Supervisor
Deanna has worked in the pharmacy and been a supervisor for over 20 years. Her job objectives and goals are to keep things running efficiently in the pharmacy and to always provide the best customer service possible.
Rhonda Price – Consultant Nurse
Rhonda, Wytheville’s consultant nurse is originally from Dublin, Virginia. She graduated nursing school at Wytheville Community College in 2000. Her previous nursing experience include emergency medicine for most of her career and then moved to staff education/staff development as well as MDS in long-term skilled settings. She has been employed by Southern since 2015. She said, “I thoroughly enjoy this aspect of nursing in relation to pharmacy services. I enjoy going to the facilities, interacting with staff and assisting them with needs/questions.” Rhonda is married, with no children but has two dogs which she says, “are the next best thing to human children.” She enjoys spending time with family, reading and new adventures. Michael Hayter – Consultant Pharmacist
Our consultant pharmacist for Wytheville, Michael Hayter, PharmD, is a member of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists. He has many years of pharmacy experience in both acute and long term care. In his role as consultant pharmacist, Michael makes scheduled visits to our facilities to conduct Medication Regimen Reviews following state and federal regulations. Working with prescribers, nursing and administration, Michael’s focus is to make sure residents in our facilities receive safe and effective drug therapy. Cynthia Thomas, our Purchasing Manager for Wytheville, has worked over 25 years in the pharmacy industry in a variety of roles.
