Three Southern Pharmacy Pink Hill employees are taking time from their busy day each week to make life a bit easier for some local elderly residents.
Each Thursday, Angie Miller, Monica Pickett and Sonya Dove take a turn at delivering for the local Meals on Wheels organization.
Before each delivery, the volunteers pick up LeeAnn Tyndall, a local resident, who accompanies and helps each of them.
LeeAnn has been recently honored by the Meals on Wheels organization for contributing over 200 hours of service.
From there, the weekly pair goes to the nutrition site in Pink Hill to pick up the meals. Then it’s on to visit with the grateful recipients.
Southern’s caring employees have been a welcomed face for as many as 10 Pink Hill residents on their weekly rounds, and have been unselfishly donating their time for over 10 years.
